iDIRECT modems recovery procedure

» How to load an option file

REPLACE <VERSION> WHEREVER NECESSARY...procedure is the same

Kindly download the iSite and software packages for version 13.0.0.0 from the link >> iSITE downloads

  • Click on Remote Packages and iSite - iDX 3.1.zip, then save the zip file on your PC. Extract the files.
  • Perform the steps below to download the image packages containing software and firmware for the current release from your laptop to the modem.
  • Make sure you are on the same network as the iDirect modem.
  • Telnet to the modem using command prompt:

Username: admin
Password: xxxxx

  • Minimize the command prompt window after you telnet.
  • Run the iSite Program from the Laptop or PC {iSite should “see” the modem}
  • Log in to the modem using iSite version 13.0.0.
  • Login as admin and password xxxx, check/Uncheck the secure option box on the login dialog box.
  • Right click on the modem and Select download package.
  • You start the upgrade by loading the cumulative package first (linux_2.4_bsp-13.0.0.0.pkg).(Locate the file where you downloaded the package) and click start ,Please check on command prompt window until it shows Flash completed and make sure you DO NOT reset the modem.
  • Load the remote package (evo_x3_rmt-13.0.0.0.pkg) ((Locate the file where you downloaded the package) and click start. Please check on command prompt window until it shows Flash completed) and make sure you DO NOT reset the modem.
  • Close the dialog window for loading the packages.
  • Save the attached option file on the computer/laptop you will be using for this exercise.
  • Right click on the modem, then select download option file from disk. Select the location where you saved the option file. On the first dialog box that appears click yes and then click Reset Now
